Coat: Shaggy coat that needs to be maintained to avoid matting. They need to be brushed frequently and bathed at least once a month. They shed very little and could be suitable for someone with allergies depending on the severity.

Temperament: Cairn Terriers are lively cheerful dogs that love children despite their independent personality. They are easy to train and will become right at home quickly.

Living Environment: They will do fine in apartment living with plenty of exercise and frequent walks.
