The Coonhound is a good natured hunter that is a passionate worker and dedicated to its owner. They are very alert and patience is needed when training this breed. They do well with older children.

Living Environment:
They are not recommended for apartment life. They need a large yard to run around in and plenty of exercise to keep trim.
