Coat: Medium to long heavy coat that requires regular brushing and bathing only when necessary. This breed tends to shed more during the change of seasons.

Temperament: If you are looking for a wonderful family companion then the Shetland is the one for you. They are bold, loyal and eager to please. They love to be around people and need to be socialized at an early age. They make great watch dogs and are full of affection, not to mention soft and cuddly too!

Living Environment: They will do fine in apartment living with plenty of exercise.
